Charles
Charles P. Gaddy was born and raised in Texas. After moving to Indiana, he attended Indiana University-Purdue University – Indianapolis for his undergraduate education. Afterwards he then attended Indiana University Law School and graduated in 1985. Since passing the Indiana bar in 1985, he has gained extensive experience through his 25 years in the practice of family law, civil litigation, probate, and small business and entrepreneur development. He has had several campaign staff positions ranging from local, city, state, and national wide elections. Later, he gained practical experience of grassroots politics by serving several years as a precinct committeeman and later as a Ward Chairman. If you asked Charles what the major accomplishments of his life were (outside of surviving the raising of 6 children), he would say it was being a co-founder of the Ben Davis Youth Sports Organization and the eventual obtaining, and original construction of, the Ben Davis Youth Sports Park (approximately 120 acres) located at 21st Street and Girls School Road. Charles was also a representative to the United States Youth Soccer Association and was actively involved for three years in bringing the World Cup to the USA in 1994. You may know Charles from being a tireless supporter and coach of youth sports in Wayne Township. He has coached children in numerous programs, including but not limited to: Krannert Flag Football League, Ben Davis Cadet Football, Westlake Little League, Ben Davis Baseball Association, Eagledale Little League, Suburban West Optimist Soccer Club, and Speedway Soccer. For a number of years he was also a volunteer football coach at Ben Davis Junior High School (now known as Ben Davis Unversity), and scouted for the Ben Davis High School football team for several years while it under the leadership of Richard Dullaghan. He also helped administer and coach many Youth Football and Soccer camps statewide. Charles’s experience just begins as an attorney. He loves our community, and vigorously fights for its rights.
